1. Scope of Service
Vancouver Notary Service provides
Remote Online Commissioning of affidavits and statutory declarations. We do not provide legal advice, nor do we review your documents for legal accuracy or “fairness.” Our sole role is to verify identity and witness signatures.
2. Strict No-Refund Policy
All sales are final. Due to the immediate allocation of notary availability and digital resources, we do not offer refunds under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
- No-Shows: If you fail to attend your video session at the scheduled time.
- Invalid ID: If you do not possess a valid, original, physical government-issued photo ID at the time of the call.
- Technical Issues: If your internet connection, camera, or microphone fails. (We will offer one complimentary reschedule, but no refund).
- Document Rejection: If the third party receiving your document refuses to accept a digitally notarized version. It is your responsibility to confirm with the receiving party that they accept remote commissioning.
- Ineligibility: If you book a session for a document we cannot legally sign online (e.g., a Will or Power of Attorney).
3. Identity Verification Requirements
You must present an
original, physical photo ID. We cannot accept photocopies, digital photos of ID, or expired documents. If you cannot produce a valid ID on camera, the session will be terminated and no refund will be issued.
4. User Responsibilities
- PDF Format: You must provide your document in a clear, legible PDF format.
- Privacy: You must be in a private, quiet room during the session. If the Notary suspects you are being coerced or are under duress, they will terminate the session immediately.

5. Limitation of Liability
Vancouver Notary Service and its practitioners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service or the rejection of your document by any third party. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.
